Simply, we couldn’t find the right solutions during the match. The match was a good experience, especially for players who didn’t play in the tournament so far. Cirovic also got a red card in the last match. We finished in the Top 8 which was our main goal, and in that regards, I can say I’m happy. We secured a place at the World Championship and the next step is to prepare well for that.’
France coach Eric Quintin: ‘An easy win for us, but we didn’t know that in the beginning. Everybody is tired at the end of the championship and I’m very proud of the energy my boys have been able to give. Our idea is to improve with each game, mentally and technically. Today, they have done the job. Maybe the second half of the championship was better, we played well versus Denmark. Spain and Croatia were just better than us. 7 is a good number!’
France player Drevy Paschal: ‘I think we played like a real team. All the goals resulted from that, my teammates were able to find me in good situations, especially in counter-attacks. The start of the competition was difficult, but we were able to finish it with a victory. It is definitely a good accomplishment and overall I am happy. ‘
Serbia player Stefan Petrić: ‘It looks like we were happy to finish 8th and just a place in this phase. In this game, our concentration wasn’t on a good level, we couldn’t lift ourselves and it finished with a result like this. We could have better in the end, but I’m happy with the tournament overall. We are happy to be here and that we have qualified in the next round.’
